Western Idaho Youth Support Advisory Committee
The Western Idaho Youth Support Advisory Committee oversees the Youth Resource & Opportunity Collaborative (YouthROC) and Western Idaho Youth Support Center (WIYSC) on guiding the organization, implementation, and operation of the programs as it provides an effective screening and referral system to prevent youth aged 10-17 years from entering the juvenile justice and child welfare systems and connecting them to protective and preventive local resources.

Youth Resource & Opportunity Collaborative (Youth ROC)
The Youth Resource and Opportunity Collaborative (YouthROC) provides upstream prevention support and resources to assist youth aged 10-17 with behavioral health needs. The ultimate goal is to prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice and child welfare systems by providing connection to community-based resources and services. YouthROC will assist youth in acquiring the resources and support they need to improve their health, well-being, and future success.

Western Idaho Youth Support Center (WIYSC)
The Western Idaho Youth Support Center, opening January 29th, 2024, located in Nampa, serves youth ages 10-17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The center is open 24/7/365 and walk-ins are welcome. WIYSC provides crisis de-escalation and stabilization support, peer support, case management, counseling, basic needs support, and referrals to community resources. Youth crisis centers have been proven to prevent escalation in family conflict and violence in the home, expensive and unnecessary hospital visits, involvement with the juvenile justice system or inappropriate incarceration because of a behavioral health crisis.
