Nikole Zogg, PhD, MPH

District Director

Dr. Nikki Zogg was named Director of Southwest District Health (SWDH) in 2015. Her public health career began in 1998 while serving in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the U.S. Air Force, she managed public health programs for local health departments and worked as a regional manager on healthcare transformation before assuming her current role. Nikki holds a public health doctorate degree from Walden University, master degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, School of Public Health and Health Sciences, and an undergraduate degree from Boise State University. Don Lee

District Operations Division Administrator, Chief Operating Officer

Don is a third generation Idahoan who was born, raised, and educated here in the Treasure Valley.  He holds multiple degrees from Boise State University (Go Broncos!) and is committed to serving our communities, friends and his own neighbors with responsive government services.    Don has a long history of managing public health, environmental and human service programs with improved outcomes and higher levels of operational efficiencies.    He has served on the Governor’s Bio Security Task Force, led nationwide interstate planning efforts for public health programs, advised Federal program development while stationed in Washington D.C. and has proudly served as a Scout Leader for many years.  In his free time Don enjoys all manner of outdoor activities that the Treasure Valley has to offer including camping, fishing, trail running, music and beekeeping.  Don can be reached at don.lee@swdh.id.gov

Beth Kriete

Family and Clinic Services Division Administrator

Beth has a passion for ensuring individuals and families have the information and resources needed to navigate the complex healthcare system. For over eight years, Beth supported Idahoans’ access to healthcare at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Medicaid. As the Deputy Administrator of Operations, Beth supported, managed, directed, and contributed to several initiatives across the agency. She has served on many councils and workgroups including Idaho’s State Independent Living Council, Medicaid Provider Stabilization Funding Workgroup, and Community NOW! Prior to her role at Medicaid, Beth worked for 19 years in the private healthcare management sector. Beth has a background in multi-site operations management including skilled nursing, long term care, retail pharmacy, home infusion pharmacy, and durable medical equipment. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science Degree through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She enjoys music, boating, traveling, horseback riding, golfing, and hanging out with friends and family. Ben Shatto

Environmental and Community Health Services Division Administrator

Ben has a diverse working history – during college working for Caesars Tahoe as their youngest special event and entertainment coordinator then after college progressing his career working in a variety of clinical settings, including acute rehab, sub-acute rehab, outpatient care, and home health, where he gained valuable experience as both a physical therapist and clinical leader. Over time, he expanded his leadership responsibilities, managing larger and more diverse teams across multiple locations. His experience spans home care, hospice, home health, in-home primary care, and transitional care, collaborating with a wide range of healthcare professionals such as MDs, NPs, RNs, LPNs, PTs, OTs, speech therapists, and social workers. Ben’s leadership roles involved overseeing clinical operations, fiscal management, and quality assurance.

A third-generation Idahoan, Ben was born in the Treasure Valley and raised in the Twin Falls area.

He holds an associate degree from Lake Tahoe Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Boise State University, and both a master’s and doctoral degree from Idaho State University. Having lived in the Magic Valley and Northern Idaho, Ben now calls the Treasure Valley home.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the many outdoor recreational opportunities that Idaho offers. Ben currently resides in Meridian with his wonderful wife, daughter, and two stepsons.
