Western Idaho Community Crisis Center Advisory Committee

The Western Idaho Community Crisis Center (WICCC) became operational on April 23, 2019. The Western Idaho Community Crisis Center is a partnership between the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW), Southwest District Health (SWDH), and Lifeways Inc. the crisis center serves adults in need of mental health and substance use disorder crisis services. The center provides stabilization and connection to community resources. Clients cannot exceed a maximum stay of 23 hours and 59 minutes. The center is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The center is located at 524 Cleveland Blvd., Suite 160, Caldwell, ID 83605. The WICCC is a key part of community integration which will allow those in crisis with limited or no access to outpatient services, an alternative to delaying care or requiring hospitalization and/or incarceration. Lifeways Inc.’s interdisciplinary team provides preliminary medical screening and behavioral health assessment to ensure the crisis center meets the level of care necessary for clients in crisis.

In accordance with Idaho Code Title 39 Chapter 91 the crisis center shall have an Advisory Board/Committee to guide the implementation and operation of the crisis center.
