Other Clinic Services
Southwest District Health offers a limited scope of practice/services/procedures. This care may or may not replace the client’s Primary Care Physician, but will allow clients to seek services that are affordable.
Types of Care Offered:
- Parents as Teacher
- Home visiting nurses
- Wellness and health maintenance
- Sports/school physicals
- Physical examinations and ongoing care
- Medication management
- Diagnosis and management of chronic conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, depression)
- Illness care (viruses, infections)
- Minor surgical procedures (removal or biopsy of lesions)
- Referral for testing and specialist medical care
- Lab services
What We Don’t Do:
- Emergency care (chest pain, asthma, respiratory distress, loss of consciousness)
- After hours or weekend care
- Chronic pain management
- Bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD
- Broken Bones, x-rays or casting
- Hospice or end of life care
- Medical services for infants and children under the age of five (with the exception of immunizations)
